Logline
A beautiful young woman, her mother, and all of her great-grandmothers going back millennia hold The Key to something the whole world wants and will do anything to get. It is in their DNA, so they must run, hide, fight and do everything in their power to protect it and stay alive.
Synopsis
Chimerical - The Key is a stunningly filmed and edited must-see, binge-watching television series, video game, and interactive online experience.
One exceptional, twenty-something actress plays multiple generational spanning starring roles in this action-packed, globe-trotting adventure filled with high-octane excitement, style, wit, humor, sex, and violence.
The Series is set in the world's most exotic locations and spans the ages. Much of the production will be shot on Green Screen or LED Wall Capture and created in FX post-production.
Penelope is a beautiful, bright, witty young woman; her mother and maternal grandmothers going back millennia, possess The Key. (All of these women are played by the same actress.) Unfortunately, evil people throughout history have done despicable things to these women to get their hands on a physical Key that they believe opens a mythical vault containing all the lost and stolen treasures and weapons the world has ever known. As their stories unfold, we see that to protect The Key; they are forced to do unimaginable things to survive and defend their families.
Dr. Eleanore, a wicked woman who lived throughout time, knows something in their DNA is much more valuable than the physical Key. It is a substance she has been extracting from their spinal fluid and injecting into her bloodstream forever, and she knows this fluid holds The Key to eternal life and is the fountain of youth. Since WWII, she and an army of doctors and scientists have been trying to crack this DNA code. Dr. Eleanore envisions harvesting, controlling, and marketing a substance derived from their DNA that will radically disrupt the world of pharmaceuticals, hi-tech, and finance and make her the ultimate power player in the worldwide military-industrial complex. She knows that whoever harnesses and controls this DNA will completely upend the existing world order and holds The Key to limitless power and wealth.
The only thing holding her back from her dream is Penelope, Linette, Emily, Claudia, and all of her great-great-grandmothers, who have an innate ability to escape from her grasp just when it looks like she has them where she wants them.
